Clairo reads broker submissions, checks your guidelines, and drafts the broker email. In 30 seconds.
Invite-only · Built for MGAs and regional carriers
"We spend 2 hours per submission on things that should take 10 minutes. AI could do that in seconds."
Every flag cites the exact rule. Auditable by underwriters and regulators.
Upload your appetite PDF. We parse it into rules. Your underwriting DNA, automated.
AI proposes. The underwriter decides. Full control at every step.
"If AI could just handle the paperwork, I could focus on the accounts that actually need my judgment."
Commercial underwriters spend 70% of their day on tasks that don't require judgment — re-typing ACORDs, hunting through guideline PDFs, drafting the same broker emails. Clairo absorbs that work so underwriters can focus on the risk.
AI should propose, never decide. Every flag must cite a rule. Every decision must stay editable. Underwriting is a craft — software should amplify the craftsman, not replace them.
A future where MGAs and regional carriers move as fast as the top-25 — without enterprise IT, six-figure contracts, or 18-month rollouts. Faster quotes. Consistent decisions. Happier brokers.

A former commercial underwriter and sales operations analyst, Francis has spent his career helping organizations make better decisions through risk analysis, data, and process optimization. He experienced firsthand how underwriting teams spend countless hours reviewing submissions, navigating guidelines, searching for information, and documenting decisions — time that could be spent evaluating risk and serving brokers.
As the first in his family to graduate from college, Francis earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international economics honor society.
He founded Clairo with a conviction that underwriting expertise is too valuable to be wasted on administrative work.
